Let’s Get Ready to Doodle! Graphic Recording Prep, Pt. 1

I’m preparing for a graphic recording gig at a 2-day conference with the Washington DC local government, and want to take you all along for the ride! Today, I’m kicking off with a casual video (my very first one! 🥹) explaining how I initially prepare for a graphic recording session. I tested markers, chose my color scheme, and figured out how I’m going to draw the title. I also drop a few tips and lessons I’ve learned over the years I’ve spent in this practice.

There’s still quite a bit left to prep, which I will show you later - spending more time up front saves you a LOT of time (and anxiety) on Doodle Day!

Tomorrow, we’re going to be LIVE at the venue and also at various points over the next 48-72 hours! I will also be posting videos of the recording and sharing more about the process. I will try to give advance notice as much as possible of when the live recordings will start.

Hope to see you soon!
